PRIVATE PAY
$140 a Session for Individuals
(50 minute session)
$150 for couples
(60- minute session)
Fees are payable at the time of your appointment unless arrangements are made for bills to be paid monthly.
Insurance Information
With most insurance companies, patients are usually covered for 20 to 30 sessions a year and are expected to pay 10 percent to 50 percent of the bill. I will verify your insurance benefits, let you know what your benefits include and bill your insurance company. Medicare, the federal health insurance program for Americans aged 65 and older, covers 50 percent of most outpatient care, with no limit on number of visits. If you have a secondary healthcare policy, they will cover the remaining 50 percent and you will have no additional co-pay.
I am a network provider for many insurance companies including Blue Cross-Blue Shield, Private Health Care Systems, Aetna, Humana, United Health Care, Wellpoint and Unicare. I may be on other networks so please feel free to ask me about any of your insurance concerns.

In 2010, the mental health parity law was passed by Congress. This means that when a person has a serious mental illness, a new law requires that the patient is allowed unlimited sessions. These illnesses include:
- Major Depression
- Bi-Polar Disorder
- Anorexia/Bulimia
- Panic Disorder
- Schizophrenia
- Psychosis
Recently, many insurance companies have been quoting unlimited sessions regardless of the diagnosis.
Sliding Fee
When appropriate, I do offer services on a sliding fee scale.
Cancellation Policy
I require 48 hours notice for cancellation of a session. This is to allow the time to offer the appointment to another client who may be on a cancellation list waiting for an appointment. The full fee will be charged for non-attendance or less than 48 hours notice of cancellation. If you are sick, there is no charge. I am a very reasonable person and understand things may come up at the last minute. If something does come up at the last minute and we can find an alternative time in the same week to re-schedule the appointment, there will be no charge.
